Bravia HX823 and Media Remote App--- Nightmare :-(

Hello folks,

 

need some help, I recently got a new HX823 and I'm tring to connect this to my iPhone Media remote.

I've tried everything and this thing has my head wrecked !!,

When I try add registration, I get an error message back "an unregistered device was not found"

The TV and Phone is wireless connected to my wireless router.

I don't have any issues with the connecting to the Web and accessing you tube.

 

Ok what I've tried.

I've gone through all settings on the TV without any luck, I can see the bravia TV on iPhone WIFI settings but If i click on it, it asks for a password.

 

When I go into the app , and add registration I get that dreded msg and can't do anything else from the app.

 

I have reset the network settings on the iphoen,

I have reset factory settings on the TV

 

Appreciate any advise anyone can offer.

    Hi

     

    Have you got the latest firmware on the TV? Strange as its normally pretty reliable and finds the TV first time. Maybe you have a friend with another smartphone out could test with?

    Thanks for the reply, I'm installed the latest firmware. I'm also uninstalled the App and reinstalled it, without any luck

     

    I have a feeling its a setting on my zyxel router, which is topping the two devices from communicating on my network. but I've no idea what settings to check or change.

     

    any suggestions.

     

    I'll try on another iphone later today.

    Router firmware? If its just a router you could always looking at getting a cheap netgear 834 off EBay to test it?
