has any1 downloaded skype for there tablet? i have but wen i make video call i cant see video or speak! can any1 help pls

    Correct, this has already been experienced by a lot of users. It is really Skype trying to play catch up with all the new tablets on the Market. Some work, some do not and unfortunately....for now the Tablet S is in the same boat. Just have to wait patiently for a Skype update to support the cameras.

    There was a new skype upgrade last night which seems to support video calling once enabled through the

    settings menu. (Although you may have to uninstall skype first before installing).

     

    Although I haven't made a call yet testing showed that the camera was working fine.

    Hopefully this is fully funtional now.

    I have updated and it is odd that the Sony Tablet does not show on their list of devices but I guess if it works, it works. Not sure on how good performance will be.

     

    Wish I actually used or had more people on Skype to speak to. I guess I am not that popular. :-)

    Install update, tested and working on a video call. Quality is as good as I get with this contact using my notebook – which is not great.

    Hi,

     

    I downloaded the skype app on my sony tablet with android 3.2 and I have problems with calls. I can send and receive video, but people can't hear me well. there is an annoying echo and i realized that i can also hear my voice coming out from my speakers. I tried to use headphones but it doesn't help. Is anybody aware of this problem? is it a skype/android problem or my tablet problem??

    i have used skype a few times already on the tablet s and the sound has been fine. i have problems with the camera being too dark (front facing camera is perfekt).

    thanks for the answer. My video has the same problem (too dark).

     

    I have the same audio problem also with gtalk, but not with a recorder and not even with echosound test of skype.. hope it's not a problem with my tablet S2.
