I suggest for you to send it back to them. It would be best to take a photo of your laptop before and after sending it to the repair center.

A lot of this LCD screen has problems. I found a lot of issues like this online. The best option for you is to have it replaced.

I've been getting this problem every once in a while and it will connect after 5-6 times. Sometimes it won't at all. I am just not sure if there is a problem with its WiFi feature or somewhere else.

The first thing you should do is to let Windows 7 check for updates and drivers to install to your Vaio. It should add other Vaio feature you could use and can be compatible to Windows 7.

That is right. I bought my spare battery from a computer/technical shop where they sell batteries for different laptops. I am just not sure if the battery is genuine or not. But it works until now.

II just hope the site offers the exact driver for the exact Vaio model. Sometimes, the older your laptop, the fewer drivers available.

The best option to do is to disable the display screen and use the viewfinder instead. I also have a HX100V, but don't have any idea if you can disable the newly captured image to display if the screen is enabled.

Try to learn something from it. Have you tried getting it back to Vista and see if you will get this black screen? If yes, then there might be a problem with your system. If not, then the problem seems to be coming from Windows 7 compatibility.
