Why does 2 of my HDR-Sr10s reset every time battery is changed

At school we have five HRD-SR10 Handycams. They have been fantastic but two of them rest every time the battery is changed. The children are going out and filming and returning with SD footage (the resolution we use) and HD footage. Also the date defaults to 2008. Can anyone offer any solutions for this problem please.

Many thanks

Trooper77
