“Complimenting the increasing use of disk storage, the majority of companies realise the need to also back up their data on to tape. It is clear that these companies need a future-proof, proven tape storage format with a solid upgrade path to scale storage as data volumes continue to grow,” said Norio Yoshioka, Tape Marketing Manager, Sony. “AIT is the only format that offers users a clear upgrade path from 20GB to 400GB and, in the future, beyond. For companies looking at their upgrade options from and DDS/DAT Technology, we believe that the AIT migration offer will be very attractive.”
